PUBLIC NOTICE
Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado
Revised Statutes, the Mined Land Reclamation Division hereby
issues notice that on 19 a
Technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal
mining operations, File No. C-81-012, by Basin Resources,
Inc., 14300 Highway 12, Weston, Co 81091, was deemed complete
for the purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods
as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder
initiate from this day of filing.
The applicant is proposing to revise current maps to show the
as-surveyed location of the RDA access road and the adjacent
permit boundary at the New Elk Mine. The permit area is
located in Sections 13, 14, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28,
34, 35 and 36 of T33S, R68W; Sections 1 and 2 of T34S, R68W;
Sections 30 and 31 of T335, R67W; and Sections 6 of T34S,
R67W. All sections are partially or fully projected by Basin
Resources due to the unsurveyed nature of the Maxwell Land
Grant. ~
The above mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5
minute Quadrangle map of Vigil, Tercio and Stonewall. A copy
of the technical revision application is available for public
inspection at the Las Animas County Courthouse, First and
Maple Street, Trinidad CO. Written comments or objections on
the technical revision application may be submitted to, and
additional information obtained from, the Office of Mined Land
Reclamation, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver CO 80203.
