MESSAGE TO RECIPIENT:
This FAX includes fill-in-the-blanks notice forms for an application
under Rules 1.6.2 and 1.6.3. These forms must be modified to convey
to notified individuals or agencies that American Soda is applying
for a technical revision to an existing permit. For example, the
first two sentences of the newspaper notice might read:
American Soda, L.L.C.; 2717 County Road 215, Parachute,
Colorado, 81635, [phone], has filed an application for
a technical revision to their Reclamation Permit No. M-99-002
with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board under the
provisions of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act. The
technical revision is to incorporate into the reclamation
permit ambient ground water data and permit conditions
protective of ground water.
Then fill out the remainder of the form. The other forms must be tailored similarly. Be
sure to remove any reference to new permit applications, Limited Impact (110d) permits,
etc. The notices mailed to the Soil Conservation District and the County Commissioners
should include the technical revision cover letter. It would be a good idea to run draft
versions of the notices by me prior to distribution.
