The
letter states that County staff has reviewed the proposal and have no objections at this
time. The letter should not be construed to be approval of the amendment by Jefferson
County and only represents the opinion of the Open Space Department as an adjacent
land owner.
Any disturbance outside the "Limits of Disturbance" approved by the Board of
.Adjustment or a change in the mining and reclamation plans will require approval by the
.Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners. Cooley Gravel is aware of this
:requirement but has not as yet submitted a formal application to Jefferson County
:requesting such an amendment.
The County has concerns about the slope stability of the site as well as the
:feasibility of the existing and proposed mining and reclamation plans which were not
:valuated by Jefferson County Open Space. If you have any questions, please contact
:Karen Heliner at 27i-8i34.
Planning and Zoning Department
.:c: Stanton LeBreche, Open Space
Rob Laird, Cooley Gravel Co.
Karen Hellner, Planning Department
Joe Crain, Acting Director of Planning and Zoning
100 Jelferson Counfy Parkway, Goltlen, Coloratlo 80419
(303) 271.5511
•
Board o} County Commissioners
Gary D.
