They produce in excess of two million tons of sub-bituminous coal
using a 600-foot Ion, vali operation. They are currently mining and
subsiding the area directly north and slightly west of the facilities area in
Sections 19, 20, 29 and 30 of TAN, R86W and Sections 24 and 25 of TSN,
R87W. The previous permit contained no historic or cultural features
which were eligible for the Historic Register. Although the surface
disturbance acreage for this longwall operation is small, the area of
concern would mainly focus on potential damage to structures or features
through ground subsidence ranging from three to four feet. In addition,
this permit revision requests approval to undermine portions of the
Twentvmile Sandstone Cliffs which are known to have rock art features.
