<br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION
<br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division proposes that an
<br />application to renew a valid, existing permit to conduct reclamation only
<br />operations submitted by the Enron Coal Company for the Meeker Area
<br />Mines Mine be approved with conditions.
<br />The Meeker Area Mines operation is located in Rio Blanco County,
<br />approximately 8 miles north from Meeker, Colorado. The reclaimed area ,
<br />encompasses approximately 15 acres and the permit area is located in
<br />Sections 16, 20, 21, 27, 28, 29, 32, 33; 34, Township 2 North, Range 93 West '
<br />and Section 1, Township 1 North, Range 93 West of the 6th P.M.
<br />This proposed approval decision is based on a finding that the
<br />proposed operation will comply with all requirements of the Colorado
<br />Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-33-101, et seq., and the .
<br />regulations promulgated thereunder:
<br />Copies of the proposed decision including stipulations, are on file for
<br />pubiicinspectionattheColoradoMinedLandReclamationDivision,Room i
<br />215, Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203
<br />and at the County Clerk's Office in Rio Blanco County, P. O. Box 599,
<br />Meeker,CO.Personswithaninterestthatmaybeadverselya(fectedbythe
<br />proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land
<br />Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. Such request must be made
<br />within thirty (30) days of the initial publication of this notice, must be in
<br />writing, and must state with reasonable specificity the reasons for the I
<br />request and the objections to the proposed decision.
