Hinkemeyer (E-mail)
Subject: RE: TR-53 -end of 10 Public Comment Period
^
cr53c1ocure019. doc
Kim, there has been closure on TR-53. Please find a copy of my letter to Jim Kiger of July 25, 2001,
attached. Mining can proceed in Section 17. NOT SO FOR TR-54. The proposed decision by the Division has not been
processed, published, nor has the associated public comment period expired. The original schedule was for an adequacy
letter by Oct 3, 2001 and a proposed decision by November 2, 2001. The public comment periods for the Colowyo notice
and the Division letters to agencies have closed, and there have been no adequacy issues identified. I will inititate a
proposed decision today. There will be a 10-day comment period to a Division notice of proposed decision (published in
the paper). See Rule 2.08.4(8)(b)(iii). Closure would, if there are no adverse comments, follow quickly. I left a message for
Steve Hinkemeyer this morining on his telephone, please close the loop with him on these actions. Please call me (you or
Steve) if you have any questions.
