III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br />• <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />COAL <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division has issued a proposed decision on <br />February 19, 1985, approving with stipulations a technical revision to the <br />Mining and Reclamation p]an for the New Elk Mine, File No. C-012-81, under the <br />provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. <br />The proposed revision was submitted by Wyoming Fuel Company, 445 Union Blvd., <br />Suite 310, Lakewood, CO 80228, Telephone (303) 989-5037, and entails a <br />realignment of the stream channel diversion of the Purgatoire River. These <br />activities will occur in Sections 14 and 23, T33S, R68W. 6th P.M. <br />The land surface is owned by Wyoming Fuel Company. Construction will begin <br />immediately upon approval by the Division. <br />U.S.G.S. 7.5 minute quadrangle map Vigil contains the area of the proposed <br />operation. <br />Copies of the proposed decision are available at the Colorado Mined Land <br />• Reclamation Division, Centennial Building Room 423, 1313 Sherman St., Denver, <br />CO. 80203, Telephone (303) 866-3567 and the office of the Las Animas County <br />Planner, located in the Las Animas County Courthouse, Trinidad, Colorado. <br />Any person who has an interest which is, or may be, adversely affected may <br />request a formal hearing regarding this proposed decision. Requests for a <br />formal hearing must be made in writing within ten (10) days of this <br />publication and shall state with reasonable specificity the reasons for the <br />request and the objections to the proposed decision. <br />• <br />
