The
application fee of $150 is also enclosed.
The quantities for reclamation were obtained by reviewing the project files and
property surveys, as well as field measurements made during my site visits.
Six depths of the pit from grade to shale were measured on the current southern
mining area, resulting in an average depth of 28 feet. Similar measurements were
not possible in the northern area, due to water in the pit. Depth to shale of the
northern pit was also assumed to be 28 feet. The existing un-reclaimed slopes were
already approximately 1:1 slopes, so this material was incorporated into the material
required to finish the slopes to 3:1. Perimeters were measured from a recent aerial
photograph of the property. The operator anticipates a combination of dozer and
scraper work for much of the slope reclamation work.
Dewatering costs assume one month with two pumps to lower the water, then two
additional months with one pump to dry and reclaim the slopes. Appropriately sized
generators would be rented to power these portable pumps.
Grading and contouring acreage considered the entire maximum disturbed area,
while the seeding acreage and topsoil acreage did not include the bottom of the
ponds. Topsoil would be spread approximately 60 feet down the reclaimed slope
from the top of bank, to 10 feet below the anticipated final water elevation.
iii iiiiiuiiiiii iii
999
Jrvision of Minerab & Geology
720 Kipling St.,Suite117
Lakewood, Colorado 80215
(303)274-4277
Fax (303) 274-8329
www. banksandgesso.com
