Long <br />Diviswn Duecmr <br />The Division has received objections to approval of United Companies of Mesa County's application <br />to amend their United/Norwood reclamation permit. When objections are received to an application, <br />the Division schedules the matter for a hearing before the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. <br />Prior to the hearing, a representative of the Board conducts aPre-hearing Conference, in accordance <br />with Construction Materials Rule 2.7. <br />The Pre-hearing Conference will be held on September 13, 1996, at 1:00 p.m. at the Montrose County <br />Fairgrounds -Friendship Hall in Montrose. At the Pre-hearing Conference, the Pre-hearing <br />Conference Officer will propose a draft Board Order which will be used to conduct the Formal <br />Hearing. Information on how to find the meeting room is attached. <br />The Draft Board Order will include the following: <br />1. A list of the Parties' names, addresses and phone numbers; <br />2. A list of the issues to be discussed at the Board Hearing; <br />3. An outline of the agenda for the Board Hearing, including the amount of time allowed <br />for presentations, cross-examinations by Parties and closing statements; <br />4. A list of each Party's witnesses; and <br />5. A list of each Party's Exhibits or documents [o be used as evidence. <br />The Draft Order will be delivered to all Parties at least three (3) days prior [o the Board's Formal <br />Hearing. At the Hearing, the Board may admit any person as a Party for limited purposes and will <br />consider whether to adopt the Draft Board Order. <br />
