As currently permitted and
as we discussed on 7/18/89, this map does not show the haul road corridor
through our 1992 removal limit in the B/C pit mining area. The same scenario
existed for the D pit ramp 3 extension (approved MR-86) in that it was assumed
haul road construction was approved through our current permit term with the
approval of PR-2. Construction of this haulroad in 1989 is necessary to
accommodate mining in the B/C pit area.
Enclosed is a new M-9 (sheet 2 of 4) map that shows the route for the B/C pit
road. By overlaying the new M-9 map over M10A map, you will see that the road
extension is in an area that will be stripped of topsoil during this permit
term. The area is already included in the bond calculations so no change in
the bond amount is needed.
Additionally, adequate sediment control is in place in East and West Buzzard
drainage. As shown in Appendix Q, Section I and II, the sediment control
facilities present in the drainage were built based on a worst-case distur-
bance. Therefore, no changes in the sediment control plan for East or West
Buzzard drainage is required.
Topsoil will be stripped and stockpiled prior to road construction. The final
stockpile is shown in Trapper's 1988 (Submitted 3/89) annual report. Seeding
of the stockpile will occur in the fall. The seed mix to be used is as
approved in Trapper's 1988 annual report.
P.O. Box 187 Craig, Colorado 81626 (303) 824-4401
