Swisher <br />2701 West Avenue <br />Burlington, Iowa 52601 <br />Dear Mrs. Swisher: <br />As required by Rule 3.03.2(1) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board for Coal Mining, we wish to notify you that Colorado Yampa Coal Company (CYCC), <br />29579 Routt County Road k27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467, intends to submit a request <br />for final bond release for 173 acres of the Eckman Park operation (Permit C-81-071). The <br />mine is approximately 23 miles southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado and the surface <br />owners of the area in question are Cyprus Western Coal Equipment Company. The <br />location and the boundaries of the operation are shown on the accompanying map, which <br />corresponds to the USGS Rattlesnake Butte and Dunckley 7.5 minute quadrangles. <br />CYCC is requesting final release of 173 acres of reclamation which was completed <br />between 1980 and 1982 in accordance with the approved Reclamation and Operations <br />Plan for the referenced permit. Requested amount of bond to be released is 534,600. <br />Written comments, objections, or requests for an informal conference should be submitted <br />. to the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room <br />~~ 423, Denver, Colorado 80203.
