Memorandum <br />To: Byron Walker <br />CC: Dan Hernandz <br />From: Janet Binns <br />Date: 3/20/200 <br />Re: Edna Mine, C-1980-001, MR-47, Weed Management Plan <br />In response to Revised regulations promulgated on September 14, 2005, Pittsburg and Midway Coal Mining <br />Company submitted a minor revision to the Edna Mine permit to incorporate a weed management plan into the <br />permit to comply with Rule 4.15.1(5). <br />Revised permit section 4.4, pages 4.4-1, Section 4.4.6, page 4.4-24, and appendix 4.4-G were submitted to <br />comply with mle 4.15.1(5). <br />The revised pages are complete and address the requirements of Rule 4.15.1(5). Appendix 4.4-G provides a <br />detailed descriptions of actions to be enacted for noxious wed management, defines the species that will be <br />controlled, and provides copies of the DMG Noxious Weed Management Guideline, Routt County 2005 <br />Noxious Weed Management Plan, and the A, B, and C weed species lists from the State "Colorado Noxious <br />Weed AcP' (35-5.5-101). <br />I have no adequacy concerns for the operator and find [hat the proposed weed Management Plan complies with <br />the requirements of Rule 4.15.1(5). <br />
