Box 68
Craig, Colorado 81626
303-824-8246
R~(;EIVED
SEP 2 8 1995
Division of Minerals 8 Geology
After preliminary review of the on-going drilling program results to date and the seismic
information from the new and reprocessed lines, CEC is submitting an additional seismic line
location. This third line is referred to as seismic line 95D. Line 95D will provide necessary
information for the delineation of structure in the planned mining area. The enclosed map depicts
the location of the proposed seismic line. Seismic surveying is tentatively scheduled to begin
September 23.
The anticipated length of the line is approximately 5,000 feet. The cultural resources survey of
the line is scheduled to be conducted on September 21. The survey will cover a corridor 300 feet
in width using the plotted seismic line as the center line. The cultural resources report and the
signed landowner agreements will be forwarded upon receipt prior to the seismic work.
The vibroseis methodology as was used for line 95C will be used for data collection on line 95D.
As was approved for earlier seismic lines, CEC proposes no increase to the bond. Considerin,
the minimal disturbance of the activity and given that the project is double bonded under BLM
and CDMG permits, CEC believes that adequate bonding is in place.
Should you have any questions, please contact me at (970) 824-1418. Thank you for your
assistance with this matter.
Sincerely,
I~t~Q414 O~
Alaita L. Scott
Environmental Engineer
Enclosure
