RE: Transfer of Surface Mining Permits C-80-005 and C-82-057
for Seneca II and Seneca II-W Mines
Dear Ms. Burgmaier:
This submittal addresses comments presented in your August 8 and
11, 1994 letters regarding the transfer of Surface Mine Permits
C-80-005 and C-82-057 for Seneca II and Seneca II-W Mines. The
responses are presented numerically for each letter.
August 8, 1994 Letter
1. Percentage of ownership for all companies in the Seneca
Coal Company-Hanson, PLC Organizational Family Tree is
included on the enclosed revised pages for Attachment 3-5
(Seneca II-W) and Attachment 3-3 (Seneca II).
2. A new Corporate Surety Reclamation Bond (No. 259743) is
enclosed to replace existing Letter of Credit No. A300788.
The effective date of the surety bond is August 28, 1994.
3. Right of entry and right to mine documents for Seneca Coal
Company will be submitted once they have been fully
executed.
4. Seneca Coal Company's Certificate of Authority to Transact
Business in Colorado will be submitted following final
approval.
5. No response required.
August 11, 1994 Letter
1. An updated revised list of permits is enclosed for Appendix
3-5 (Seneca II-W) and Attachment 3-4 (Seneca II).
2. Robert E. Lee was appointed Chief Financial Officer of
Hanson America, Inc. on 4/22/92. He also still maintains
his Vice President position with Hanson America, Inc. The
information presented on Page 16 of Attachment 3-5 (Seneca
II-W) and Attachment 3-3 (Seneca II) is correct.
