Long <br />Division Director <br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on <br />April 21, 1994, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal <br />mining operations by Western Fuels-Colorado, 405 Urban Street, Suite 305, <br />Lakewood, Colorado 80228, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. <br />All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations <br />promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to revise surface coal mining operations at the New <br />Horizon Mine. The technical revision pertains to a revised surface water <br />control plan associated with the drainage to pond 007. <br />The New.Horizon Mine. is located near the Town of Nucla, Colorado. The <br />revision pertains to an area within Sections 5 and 6, Township 46 North, <br />Range 15 West; Section 31, Township 47 North, Range 15 West; Section 1, <br />Township 46 North, Range 76 West; and Section 36, Township 47 North, Range 16 <br />West. The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute <br />Quadrangle map of Nucla. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspec- <br />tion at the Montrose County Courthouse Annex in Nucla, Colorado.
