Ban[a.
Division Dire.tor
RE: Fnuta Mine Bond Release for Hackfi]ling and Grading (File No. C-81-015)
Dear Mr. Lynch:
Enclosed is the inspection report for the inspection that I conducted on
February 28, 1991 at the Fruita Mine. The Division believes that the
reclamation conducted at the Fruita Mine is as approved in the reclamation
plan for that portion of the plan that applies to backfilling and grading.
Additional reclamation tasks such as seeding, mulching, trash pick-up, fence
removal, sediment control maintenance and erosion control maintenance are
needed. and the Division will hold sufficsent bond money to accomplish these
tasks. The Division cannot release the entire amount of the bond until the
end of the 10 year liability period.
If you have any objections or comments concP*~*r+ng the request for a release
you may submit these in writing with a request for an informal conference.
You must submit this request on or before April 1, 1991. The purpose of this
informal conference is to provide an opportunity to resolve disagreements
prior to the Division's proposed decision to release a portion of the bond
(Rule 3.03.2(4)).
Sincerely,
Randall P.
