This revision provides updated 5-Year mine plan
projections within the existing permit boundary, and reflects the
changes in coal extraction associated with the modifications.
Enclosed Map 23A (Mine Plan) shows the extended longwall panels
projected for Panels 5 and 6 which result from the failure of a
major fault to develop as originally predicted, as well as the
previously approved 2nd and 3rd Left entry gateroad extensions.
As previously discussed, the 1st Left entry extension was also part
of that revision. In addition, the enclosed Map 23A also reflects
the planned face extension beginning with panel 6, which will
increase the face width from approximately 640 feet to
approximately 800 feet. Please note that Map 23A now reflects the
current numbering system in use at TCC for the longwall panels,
which should alleviate some of the confusion previously encountered
when discussing mine status and projections.
Please also note that the projections for the 1st left entry and
the 1st Main South are being provided as previously discussed to
allow for the associated development work. That portion of the 1st
Left entry associated with the AVF will be subject to the same
pillar design as those in the related portions of 2nd and 3rd Left,
and has already been addressed in the stipulations attached to the
previously approved minor mine plan modification.
These modifications will result in an increase of tons mined from
Federal Lease # C-20900. Approximately 136,275 recoverable tons of
coal will be mined from the lease. The required minor mine plan
modification will be submitted to the BLM concurrent with this
minor revision application to the Division.
