The
Colorado Noxious Weed Act was extensively revised effective August 6, 2003. Regulations
regarding the Act aze still evolving as new directives regazding individdal species are developed for
specific regions as the Colorado Department of Agriculture's workload allows.
The Rio Blanco County Weed Management Plan is currently in the `Incomplete Draft' state and
current discussions do not reflect the recent revisions to the Colorado Noxious Weed Act.
The BLM is currently in the process of evaluating herbicide use through a Programmatic EIS which
is currently in the `Draft' state. The outcome of this PEIS will dictate future use of herbicides on
BLM managed lands.
If you have any further questions please contact me at 970-675-4322.
Sincerely,
~~~~
Scott Wanstedt
Environmental Engineer
Scott 1 w @deserado.com
enc:
cc: Jeff Dubbert w/o
Paul Daggett -BLM
