<br />Dear Party and/or Interested Person:
<br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has received objections to the application for
<br />amendment (AM-01) to the "The Shores" permit.
<br />Therefore, staff has scheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land
<br />Reclamation Board, for consideration. The hearing for consideration of AM-01 to the "The Shores "
<br />permit will occur during the February 25-26, 2003 Board meeting at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 318,
<br />Denver, Colorado commencing at 10:00 a.m. on the 25th and 9:00 a.m. on the 26'h or.as soon
<br />thereafter as the matter can be considered. APre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on
<br />January 28th, beginning at 9:30 a. m.., at the Division's Office in Room 215, at 1313 Sherman.Street,
<br />Denver, Colorado. Ms. Sandra Brown will preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. The purpose of
<br />the Pre-hearing Conference is to describe the Office's review process, to explain the rights and
<br />responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board
<br />Hearing processes, to determine the list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction and to simplify the list,
<br />and to determine who has demonstrated standing to be a party to the Formal Board Hearing. ,
<br />Please review the enclosed informational memo, dated October 2, 2001, RE: Citizen Participation in the
<br />112 Reclamation Permit Application Process Revised October 19, 2001, and complete either of the last
<br />two pages, if applicable, and return the completed form to DMG or bring the completed form to the Pre-
<br />hearing Conference.
