By approximately October 3, 1988, we had reduced staff to those
necessary for care and maintenance of the mill, the mine, and the surface
facilities along with periodic carbon regeneration. For purposes of Rule 1.62,
we believe the 180-day period from the time of effectively temporarily ceasing
operations will end on or about March 31st of 1989.
The operations have been temporarily curtailed because of low silver prices.
We intend to maintain the Bulldog Mountain, and associated properties, until such
time as economic conditions permit us to return to active mining. Approximately
1,200,000 tons of ore remain. The ore contains an average of 14.2 ounces of
silver per ton and 1.9 percent lead. Mining and beneficiation operation could
be restarted with little additional preparation other than machine and equipment
startup.
L'7e -Intend t0 Co~i•ply with all app11C3F.le permit CCnditiC^S and 40 ;rl~int~in
those permits and other authorizations that are required.
