An on-site examination of DOE Lease
Tract C-SR-13A was perforated on May 3, 2003, to assess Cotter Corporation's reclamation
efforts. That examination indicated that the reclamation activities completed by Cotter were
satisfactory, with the exception of the reestablishment of adequate vegetation (expected to take
at least two more growing seasons to be deemed successful).
On the basis of this information, you are herein advised that, at your discretion, the reclamation
performance bond for C-SR-13A may be reduced from $31,000 to $6,000 (the amount deemed
appropriate to ensure revegetation success). Please notify this office if you elect to exercise this
option.
If you have questions concerning this matter, please contact Mr. Michael Tucker, Project
Manager, at (970)248-6004.
Sincerely,
cc:
L.
