In the Golden
Reservoir, along the eastern boundary, it shows a 75-foot wetlands bench with 4:1 slopes.
The Golden Reservoir is to be reclaimed as a lined water storage reservoir - we do not want to
change this. We would like to change one minor part of the reclamation of this reservoir. We
would like to take out the wetlands bench and 4:1 slopes. We would like to reclaim the 75 feet
in the same manner as the rest of the reservoir -with no wetlands bench and with 3:1 slopes.
We have looked through all of the application and permitting paperwork and have not found any
reason as to why the wetlands bench was included in the reclamation. It actually does not
make sense to have a wetlands bench in the Golden Reservoir -due to the fact that water levels
in reservoirs are not constant, and the water is sometimes fed back into the waters of the state
for augmentation purposes. Also, the wetlands bench and corresponding slopes would subtract
valuable water storage space from the Golden Reservoir.
We will be happy to furnish the Division with an updated Exhibit F: Reclamation Plan Map. We
have not attached an updated map to this technical revision request in case there are certain
notes relating to the technical revision that the Division would like added to an updated map.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact me directly at 303-286-2247 or via email at
Imshults@Igeverist.com.
