As you suggested in your telephone message, it would perhaps be best to set this a <br />couple of months down the road. I would therefore ask that the decision date be reset to November 7, <br />2003. <br />During our previous conversation regarding this matter on August 14, we discussed possible options and <br />the Division's expectations for groundwater monitoring when dewatering activity at the site ceases and <br />groundwater begins to rebound. On August 18 you leR a voice mail advising that you and Carl Mount <br />believe that a minimum of four quarters of monitoring would be required following cessation of <br />dewatering, which would entail installation of new monitoring wells outside the pit. <br />I have discussed this with Aggregate industries' consultant, Scott Rutheford, and the plats manager for <br />83's Joint Venuture, and we believe a meeting; with you and Carl would be beneficial in helpiz~ us reach s <br />resolution that will facilitate closure of this matter. 1 will comact you for some possible meeting dates. <br />Very truly yours, <br />L% ~.
