General Reclamation Plan
The total disturbed area to be reclaimed under this permit is 63.1 acres. The post-mining land use
for the entire permit area will be wildlife habitat and recreation. Wetlands will be planted along
the perimeter of the lake, and dry rangeland will exist on the flat areas above the lake, and on the
slopes of the lake. Road access will be maintained to the lakes as shown on Map F. Map F also
shows the post-mining topography and identifies the wetland and dry rangeland areas.
Table E-1 shows the distribution of reclaimed areas.
Table E-1
Reclaimed Use Area
Water Surface 43.7
Wetlands 2.12
D land Areas 14.85
Road Access 2.43
Total 63.1
RECEf~°E~
APR 0 9 ZOJ7
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety

~~7~~~
AAR 0
0~~4~dr F ¢200 '/
Mjn/n9aRec/a ~/tice
nose e~ O'
As described in the mining plan, reclamation will occur concurrently with mining. Since the
phases for the remaining mining will be mined to the final slope, no backfilling will be needed.
Topsoil will be replaced on all graded areas except those areas that are 5 feet or more above
expected water level. Topsoil is available from the stockpiles shown on Map C-1 and C-2. By
concurrently mining and reclaiming the Phases, the acreage which is unreclaimed will be
minimized, which will make the worst case reclamation smaller and thus, the bond will be
smaller. All slopes will be 2H:1 V with the exception of the area from 5' above level to 10' below
level, which will be configured to a 3H:1 V slope.
The worst case reclamation scenario occurs at the current site conditions at the end of 2006. At
this point the unreclaimed area will be the largest and topsoil will need to be replaced on the
entire pit bottom. The maximum pit bottom area will be exposed, along with several sections of
pit slopes. Several structures would require to be removed such as the office building, asphalt
iz w
QJW
Colons Pit March 07 E-1
