The existing bank on the North side of the property, owned
by R.L. Robeson and leased by Monarch Stone Company, Inc., is cu*_rently at a l:f slope.
The property owner has requested an access road to the lower part of the property.
(indicated by "new road" on the map). In order to do this we need to realign the mining
boundry. We have resloped the South side of the property according to the MLRB
provisions. This area we consider reclaimed at a 3:1 slope and we would like to trade this
portion for the new proposed area.
In addition to the above, the property owner has requested that we allow as much level
suface as possible. In doing so we had to bench the West high wall and stabilize it with
6" plus Rip Rap. Although this is not a 3:1 slope as specified by the MLRB we ask that a
representative inspect and comment of this matter.
Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter.
