RE: Continuance of Pre-hearing Conference to September 29, 2005 and Formal Public Hearing to
October 12-13, 2005, Lafarge West, Inc., Riverbend Operation, Permit No. M-2000-016, Amendment

Dear Party and/or Interested Person:
The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has approved a request from the applicant, Lafarge
West, Inc., to continue their Riverbend Amendment application to the October 12-13, 200$ Board Hearing.
Therefore, staff has rescheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board, for consideration. The new hearing date for consideration of the Riverbend Operation
Amendment Applicaticn will occur during the October 12-13. 200$ Boazd meeting at 1313 Sherman Street,
Room 318, Denver, Colorado, commencing at 10:00 a.m. on October 12, 200$ and at 9:00 am on October
13, 200$ or as soon thereafter as the matter can be considered. Parties and interested persons will have the
opportunity to be heard.
PLEASE NOTE: The Pre-hearing Conference has been rescheduled for September 29.200$ beginning at 10
a.m.., at the Mined Land Reclamation Division Office at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 21$, Denver,
Colorado. Mr. Dan Hernandez will preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. The purpose of the Pre-
hearing Conference is to describe the OfLice's review process, to explain the rights and responsibilities of
parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board Hearing processes, to
determine the list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction and to simp]ify the list, and to determine who has
demonstrated standing to be a party to the Formal Board Hearing.
An informational memo, dated October 2, 2001, Revised October 19,2001 and August 2, 2004, RE: Citizen
Participation in the 112 Reclamation Permit Application Process was sent to you in the Division's earlier
notice, dated February 11, 200$. As part of that memo the Division included a `Party Status Withdrawal
Form". Since the applicant has deleted the property referenced by the Mortons and Stevens from their
amendment application it appears that this objection/problem has been resolved. In the event that you no
longer wish to continue as a formal objector, please complete this form and return it to the Division.
