The mining
activities are not visible from the road.
Currently, our permit requires 6 to 12 inches of topsoil/overburden replacement. I request that the
requirement for topsoil/overburden material be eliminated. We have found the deposit to be quite
homogeneous from the ground surface to the total depths of excavation (approx. 20 to 30 ft) thus far. A
few acres of past excavations have been re-contoured with material taken from the excavations and are re-
vegetating. ,
Sincerely,
~ ~> ~ /~
"~(- ~ ~ Cijcxec9.~~i
Rex Goodrich, PE
Region 3 Assistant Materials Engineer
Cc Candice Lukow
John Gunn
File
~~ •- ~~„ ~. ,. .'~ ~ ~ ~. ..,, :. . _.-.,,__._ ~: ~~: , ~.~ r,<r ,,.. ~-<, ~...,=tip, ,i-
