The final pit highwall was blasted to help in highwall
reduction. Dozers graded the area in late September, 1994. The topsoil was rc-spread
from stockpile N and reseeded during October 1994. After the snowmclt and heavy rains
during the spring of 1995, a large gully formed in the extended portion of 006-NE-1
drainage channel. Scncca personnel conducted the 1995 Rill & Gully monitoring, in May,
as required and submitted the maintenance plan to the DMG (see attached excerpt).
During the summer of 1995 rip-rap was placed in the eroded sections of the channel,
approximately 300 ft x 30 ft. and 150 ft. x 30 ft. lnspcctors from DMG have mentioned
this specific area nine times since September, 1994.
