Attached is a revised Exhibit C-lb map better showing the
location of the ditch. i have placed arrows along the ditch
to show direction of flow. I have corrected the nomencla-
ture on the enlarged section. This should have been ground
water ditch. I have also attached a new detailed sketch of
the ground water ditch (Adequacy Exhibit A) with dimensions.
2. we did not intend to change the recharge ditch requirement
for dewatering unlined lake areas. This means that Stipula-
tion No. 1 remains unchanged. The if needed verbiage was
intended to distinguish between the need for a recharge
ditch on unlined lake dewatering and no need for a recharge
ditch if dewatering does not take place.
3. I talked with Robert Huzjak, P.E. of GEI regarding this
concern. It is his opinion that the there would be no
impacts because the trees are close to the river. I believe
during the 2001 hearing the board questioned weather they
had any jurisdiction over the trees and the applicant
agrees. The Platte River Ranch owns the trees and Platte
Sand & Gravel has no interest in them except that they are
located in wildlife areas where no mining will be done. Nar
do they want to be responsible for the trees health or have
it implied that they will try to protect them from natural
losses. To protect the operator from this, 4 monitoring
wells will.be placed between the river and the lined areas
to monitor ground water levels. Adequacy Exhibit B is a map
showing the approximate location of each well. The wells
will be installed prior to start of construction of the
