R'~ Ai!G~ I GIVI~10~1 <br />We are writing this letter to confirm Julian Mitchell's verbal <br />conversation with you today regarding Blue Ribbon's efforts with <br />respect to abatement of the violation which requires us to re- <br />establish positive drainage on the portal bench on or before <br />April 13, 1984. As Julian reminded you, the bench repair to <br />re-establish positive drainage was originally accomplished on <br />March 29, 1984. You will recall that we showed you "before" and <br />"after" repair slides to confirm what we had completed by that date. <br />Unfortunately, additional movement has occurred since March 29th. <br />That movement has been significant enough to again require addi- <br />tional grade work to maintain drainage which you require. <br />We have employed a contractor to do dozer work to create that <br />positive grade from roughly the area where the coal screen is <br />usually installed to the catch basin near the outer edge of <br />mine bench.
