Clay Pit--A one acre area at the edge of a previously mined <br />out portion is being utilized to mine clay (see enclosed map). <br />The mining will continue in a northwesterly direction at a <br />depth of approximately 12 feet. The area disturbed annually <br />will be less than 2 acres. <br />2. Topsoil Locations--Locations of the topsoil stockpiles are <br />shown on the enclosed map. Future locations will be along the <br />edge of mining areas as they are expanded. <br />3. East Pit--The final reclamation of the East Pit will not <br />include a pond. Grading shall be done in a manner to form a <br />shallow depression at a depth above the ground water level. <br />4. Half Acre East Pit Pond--The pond area is currently being <br />graded to prevent ground water exposure. <br />5. Leyden Coal Mine Water--The water being pumped from the Leyden <br />Coal Mine is purchased from the Public Service Company of <br />Colorado. Water quality is tested by the Public Service <br />Company on a monthly basis with the test results being sent to <br />the Colorado Department of Health, Water Quality Control <br />Division, Denver, Colorado.
