Jim Helmericks <br />Glacier Gravel Products <br />400 East 32nd <br />Durango, Colorado 81301 <br />Re: J & J Pit - File No. M-85-001 <br />Dear Mr. Helmericks: <br />ON March 27, 1985, during a formal public hearing, the Mined Land eclamation <br />Board considered your request for reconsideration of the X4,200.00 civil <br />penalty levied against you on February 21, 1985 for mining without a permit at <br />the J & J Pit. After hearing testimony from our staff, Mr. Lee Ca Abell, and <br />you, the Board moved to reduce the total civil penalty against you to <br />X750.00. This new reduced civil penalty is payable to our Divisio within 30 <br />days of the March 27, 1985 Board action on this matter. <br />As soon as we receive adequate financial and performance warrantie (and the <br />appropriate succession of applicant forms, if you choose to exerci a this <br />permitting option), the limited impact permit for this operation w'll be <br />issued, thus lifting the Cease and Desist Order on this site.
