The measured distance from the possible point
source leak to the monitoring well is 1500 feet. It would take a contaminant
plume (detectable amount) about 7,900 days (21.64 years) to reach the well.
I also assumed a point source leak in the extreme northeast side of the upper
disposal area. The distance from the projected leak to the monitoring well is
about 2,800 feet. A contaminant plume would reach the monitoring well in
about 20,975 days (57.47 years).
The analyses assume a porosity of 25%, dispersivities of Dx=100 and Dy=30, 2.5
Ib/day cyanide and a seepage velocity of .048 ft/day.
Attached is a copy of the tabulated results of each analysis.
Need anything else?
JD/amm
6634E
