As you are aware, the OSM - WSC participated in this
investigation with the Division. As a result of these further
investigations the Division has confirmed that the Tatum residence
is not within an area where mine subsidence related to the 1st
North Main of the Golden Eagle Mine is occurring or has occurred.
Therefore, the Tatum residence is not subject to mine subsidence
impacts. Attached is a copy of the letter informing the Tatums of
our findings.
Also attached are the records of our observations and
investigation. In the attachments you will find a memorandum from
Mr. Jim Pendleton, Technical and Scientific Coordinator for the
Division of Minerals and Geology, a trip report from Mr. Michael
Rosenthal, Chief of the Physical Sciences Branch for OSM - WSC, and
a memorandum indicating Mr. Rosenthal's concurrence with the
memorandum prepared by Jim Pendleton.
