Baldwin, and nave noted <br />that you have received a copy. According to his letter, some of <br />the things you are wanting us [o do and agencies to contact evidently <br />do not have any jurisdiction over the permit area. <br />As you know, I went througi~ a trial and the court ruled that <br />I do not have a valid lease. The permit has been revoked and a judge <br />has ruled that I am not to set foot on the property. Between John <br />l;iggin's owning some property, Jim Sdiggins owning some property, and <br />Victor American owning some property, I am in a very unusual situation. <br />ASr. Baldwin in the meantime leas bought some of the property, and I can <br />see his side of it. He has invested a large amount of money in develop- <br />ing the property, has done a good job, has a good reputation, and is <br />doing something to enhance the prosperity of the area. If we were in <br />his shoes, we would be doing exactly as he is doing and reacting in the <br />same ~aay. I think by interfering with his business, cae are opening <br />ourselves up to a lawsuit. <br />I have tried to control the situation to the best of my knowledge <br />and have even tried to have the cattle kept off of the reclaimed <br />property. I have no power to do anything and my hands are tied. I need <br />you to help me put this unique situation behind all of us.
