The total bond amount has increased from
$33,399, a figure from the Division's 1997 recalculation, to the new total of $67,108.
The enclosed packet of reclamation tasks explains the components of the updated bond
figure.
It should be noted that the revegetation costs contained herein reflect the seed mix that
was approved under TR-3 and not a more recent seed mix apparently required by the
BLM, for this permit and/or other permits in the group of Sunday Mines. To change a
permit's reclamation plan to conform with recent BLM requirements, will require that a
technical revision (TR) be approved for each of the applicable permits. There is no fee
for a TR on 110(2) permits; the TR fee fora 112 permit (such as this one) is $150.
Technical revisions for DMOs cost $875. At this time none of the permits are DMOs.
Please review the enclosed figures cazefully and contact me promptly if you notice errors
or omissions. This letter constitutes notice of a bond increase, which must be submitted
within 60 days of the date of this mailing.
Please be reminded that if the permit is to be transferred to Denison Mines, the bond
(consisting of both financial warranty and performance warranty) must be submitted with
the new operator name also.
If you need any bond forms, please contact Ms. Elizabeth Shelton at our Denver office
(see address in letterhead) or by calling her directly at 303-866-4084. If you have
questions about the bond figures themselves, I can be reached at the Division's Durango
office: 701 Camino del Rio, Room 125, Durango, CO 81301.
~C6
~~
4A8
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines
