Due to the fact that little has changed since the last update in 2001, staff used accepted volumes
and tasks to accomplish the recalculations. The area of increase appears to be in seed cost which has
increased dramatically in the last few years and some overhead adjustments in the program.
In an effort to ensure the financial warranty remains adequate to reclaim this site per the requirements
of the approved reclamation plan, DMG has updated the reclamation cost estimate (copy enclosed).
The site now appears to be under-bonded. Therefore, pursuant to Section 34-32.5-117(4) of the
Colorado Land Reclamation Act, adequate financial warranty must be submitted to DMG within
60 days of the mailing date of this report. Please submit a new bond in the amount of $18,921.00 or
an increase rider to the current bond for $2528.00 to bring the Warranty up to date. The increase
needs to be accepted prior to September 18th, 2006. Please review the enclosed figures as soon as
possible and contact our office if any calculation errors are noted. Warranty documents should be sent
to Elizabeth Shelton in the Denver Office at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 South Third Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone
no. 970-241-1117.
Sincerely,
~~ ~~~~r ~~~--
G.
