Pendleton
Technical Science Coordinator
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
Dear Jim:
E MOUNWN
lD COMPANY
I am sorry for the confusion that my note to you containing the
graph caused. As I tried to state before in that letter, the
decant pond solution is in compliance. We are tre~ting it
continuously with hydrogen peroxide, The graph represents the
cyanide contained in the solution which percolates thrbugh the
already deposited tailings and is collected by the decant
system. We have been watching this in an effort to determine
when the solution coming out of the decant pipe unto the
collection pond will be in compliance and no longer halve to be
treated. These samples are taken at the decant system
discharge pipe before the solution is treated. ~ assay
results reported to the DMG are accurate.
The results on a graph are numbers that you have mot seen
before, and as I stated in the previous letter, were of
interest to me and hopefully of scientific interest to you.
They are not compliance numbers nor are they associated with
any compliance points.
Sincerely,
~~
Andre J.
