Losse, Jr.
Federal Resources Corporation
P.O. Box 806
Salt Lake City, Utah 84110
Re: Possible Not:Lce of Violation {File M-82-090)
Dear Jack:
~ ~^A ~,
at,rd~~ LP,P~U
ir. i fi.R ^, A,'i ..
As we previously advised, the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
Division ("MLRD") has scheduled time for a hearing on the Techni-
cal Revision to adjust the boundaries of the Camp Bird Permit.
The date is April 25, 1990. The Division's staff has asked that
the revision document be sent to them as soon as possible.
As you know, our i:ermination at the mine is effective on
April 22, 1990. We believe that Federal should become the
applicant for thi:~ revision and handle the matter before the
Board. We do not feel comfortable trying to speak for you in
this matter.
In order to avoid anything "falling between the cracks" of the
changeover, we are providing to you, David Bellack and the MRLD
staff copies of the draft application for the Technical Revision.
We are assembling and mailing these tomorrow morning since the
exhibits are difficult to fax. We are happy to make this work
product of Denver Knight Piesold ("DKP") available to you, and we
have asked Barbara Filas of DKP to help you in any way possible.
She has been doing the work at the mine on this revision and
knows the situation well.
I believe Jim Points, who was Federal's mine manager at the time
the problem originated, may also be helpful. He has been working
for us as a watchman at the mine. If you need his help, we can
make him available as well.
