The proposed berms aze located along the north perimeter of the gravel sites and
will be installed at the begmnntg of the active mining in the pits. Per the original detail, the
berm for Pit #1 required 24" diameter riprap along the faces of the berm. Since angulaz riprap
is not readily available for this pit; we recommend installing North American Green C350 (or
approved equal) in place of the riprap. -The installation of the Erosion Control Blanket will
follow the manufacturers' recommendations; which includes properly staking the blanket and
keying it into the slope. The toe of the berm on the side of the Colorado River will be
additionally armored with 24" riprap. In addition to providing the necessary erosion
protection, this erosion blanket will be seeded and irrigated to provide a more natural
appeazance to the flood control berm. Please see the attached specifications and revised detail.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to give me a call. _

1517 Blake Avenue, SLite 101
Glemvood Springs, CO 81601
Telephone (970) 945-8676 -Fax (970) 945-2555
14lavemess Drive Fast S7tite D-136
Englewood, CO 80112
Telephone (303) 925-0544 -Fax (303) 925-0547
