Dept R N(A,yq TR o~~~~1011
This is in reference to NOV C-$4-157 in order to plead final abatement.
You mention that in order to complete abatement, we should try to recover
subsoil that has been xashed downslope from the collection ditches. It
is our observation that there is only approximately 10 cubic yards of
dirt that xould be recoverable in this area and in order to place it back
on the pile it xould require taking a piece of heavy equipment into a
relatively undisturbed area and precipitate the destruction and conse-
quently the reconstruction of the collection ditches.
It is our opinion that the benefit gained by reclaiming this dirt xould
be far outweighed by the negative impact brought about by heavy equipment
operating in these areas.
Please let us knox what the Division's final decision Ss on this matter.
Thank you very much.
Sin~~ceyyrely, ~ ~~
Monte Gayhart,
American Fels, inc.
