Box 1009 , <br />Glenwood Springs, CO 81602 <br />Re: Mid-Continent Quarry Reclamation <br />Dear Mr. Mottice: <br />• III IIIIIIIIIIIII III ~J002 <br />FA% <br />ARE1 CODE idl <br />9/J~:1:J <br />Reference is made to letter dated July 23, 1996 from <br />the Division of Minerals and Geology, State of Colorado to Diane <br />Delaney, Mid-Continent Resources, with copy to you, stating that <br />the DMG has decided to submit Mid-Continent's request for <br />extension of time to submit the required financial warranty in <br />the amount of $6,213 to the Mined Land Reclamation Board for <br />consideration at their August 28-29, 1996 .Board meeting. <br />The Trustee, appointed by the Bankruptcy Court to <br />liquidate the remaining properties and distribute monies, and <br />Mid-Continent Resources would like to work out a situation where <br />the reclamation issues on the Quarry can be resolved and the <br />Trustees' responsibilities closed out within the next couple of <br />years. <br />It would be very helpful to the Trustee in making a <br />decision as to what to do about this requirement for additional <br />bonding if the HLM will accept this financial warranty in lieu of <br />requiring a separate reclamation bond pursuant to 43 CFR 3809.1- <br />9. <br />
