The TDN was written for American Fuels, Ines failure to plug, seal
or otherwise manage each exploration hole, other drill or borehole, or well
(Rule 4.07.3) at the Pryor Strip Mine. Two holes were identified in the TDN,
located about 25 feet west of the northern most pit.
The Division responded (following verbal notification of the TDN by an OSM
inspection) with inspections on March 7, 1985 and March 14, 1985 by two
different inspectors. On both occasions OSM was contacted for instructions on
locating the holes. Neither inspector could locate the open holes on the mine
site in the location described. Since neither inspector found evidence of a
violation, no enforcement action was taken.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
Sincerely, S
Br1an EE.`''M'"u~nson
Senior Reclamation Specialist
BEM/ljc
8732E
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
