In this review, it is requested
that MLRD Drovide evidence from the operator to support the fact that sketches
of all shots at the mine during the three year Deriod preceding the inspection
on November 6 and 7, 1990 exist and show the required information including
decking, where decking is involved.
MLRD is uncertain as to how much evidence AFO requires that a violation does
not exist. Mr, William Agnew, Sr.,.Environmental Engineer for the Trapper
Mine, brought to MLRD offices on November 15, 1990 what he indicated to be
sketches of all shots made at the mine during the three year Deriod preceding
the inspection on November 6 and 7, 1490. Since several hundred sketches and
records were involved, only a selected number were inspected. Those inspected
appeared to be in order. An example of a normal sketch and one with decking
are attached to this letter as evidence of the mine's compliance. All
sketches Drovided by Mr. Agnew during his visit on November 15, 1990 were not
copied. As a result, the Division cannot supply them with this letter. Since
so many are involved, MLRD does not feel it reasonable or practical to attempt
to do so at this time.
Hopefully, this letter and enclosures will satisfy AFO requirements. Should
there be further questions, please contact me.
Si nc/er/el;ly,
~% `~~
Dan T.
