~ III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
MEMORANDUM
August 4, 1992
TO: Jim Pendleton '
FROM: Harry Posey ~
RE: Third Party Sampling; Battle Mountain Resource; San Luis
Project; M-81-112
I have reviewed the resumes, SOq's, literature, and pride lists of
the following persons and companies:
LABORATORIES
Analytical Technologies, Inc.; Phoenix, AZ
Core Laboratories; Aurora, CO
Evergreen Labs; Wheat Ricge, CO
SAMPLERS/CONSULTANTS
Dr. Anne Maest; Boulder, CO
John Shomaker, Inc.; Albuquerque, NM
Water, Waste & Land, Inc.; Fort Collins, CO
LABORATORIES
Each of the three laboratories have the equipment capabi sties and
apparently have the qualified personnel to conduct rout ne metals
and cyanide analyses.
TYPE Analytical Core Evergreen
Free x x
WAD ? x x
Total x x x
Amenable x x x
to Chlor
Metals x x x
SAMPLERS/CONSULTANTS
Dr. Anne Maest. ~
Dr. Maest appears to have excellent general qualifi ations to
conduct or oversee the third party sampling, pro ided she
herself serves as the on site party. Whether her schedule
will permit this type of activity is yet to be determined.
John Shomaker. Inc.
JSI has sub-contracted three persons to work on this project.
However, none of their resumes indicate experienc in this
type of work. Most of their work is in forest and in
developing drinking water systems in third world c untries.
I do not recommend the JSI group.
