Crosby: <br />::TEC Environmental Colorado, Inc. is writing this letter to address the technical <br />issues dzat the Division of Minerals and Geology raised regarding the change in the status of <br />the 110 Reclamation Permit fox the Gold Hill Mill. 1'he request for an approval of a <br />Tempo::azy Cessation of the Gold Hill Mill's 110 Reclamation Pemut is renewed with this <br />letter. :Vo screening or processing operations at the Gold Hill Mill have occutxed since the <br />Mill way last operated in 1999. <br />'.l). At the present tune, a stockpile of material hauled from the Cash Mine dump <br />remains on the pemutted ore stockpile area Appxo~tnately one-half of this material has <br />been screened, and is available for processing in the Gold Hill Mill. The Gold Hill Mill's <br />tailings pond was designed to contain all of the Cash Mine dump after screening elimiratcd <br />the oveesized waste product. Milling operations at the Gold Hill mill will resume when the <br />price o:: gold and sih>er increase to a level that justifies processing this material ITEC <br />Enviror~tnental Colorado, Inc. will notify the Division of Minerals and Geology thirty (30) <br />days before processing any of the Cash Mine dump material located oa the ore stockpile <br />area. <br />::). ITEC intetads to restore the water lines from Lefr Hand Canyon, the Cash Mine <br />and the Hazel A. adit before resuming milling operations at the Gold Hill Mill. The tailings <br />pond au~face levels a.t the various levels of stormwater control will be deteunined and the <br />actions and personnel involved in controlling the volume of water in the pond will be <br />designated before any milling operations are commenced. ITEC will notify the Division of <br />Minerals and Geology when pumping operations are initiated and completed. The volume- <br />depth c~irvcs from the 1998 tailings pond design will be uscd to set rlxe limits of the tailings <br />pond surface levels to insure that the pond has a safe freeboard at all times. <br />
