Lamm <br />Governor <br />June 6, 1986 <br />Mr. Martin Holmes <br />Kaiser Coal Corporation <br />102 South Tejon, Suite 800 <br />Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903 <br />Re: Chimney Rock Mine, Permit C-81-023 <br />Dear Mr. Holmes: <br />The Division would like to address three outstanding issues for the Chimney <br />Rock mine: Minor Revision 20, Succession of Operator, and bond review. <br />Deficiencies pertaining to Minor' ev1-stun-20-were-addressed in a letter sent <br />to you on April 14th. To date we have yet to receive a written reply to this <br />letter, however, in a April 30th telephone conversation you mentioned that you <br />were in the process of addressing the issues. <br />In the same April 14th letter discussed above, we addressed Technical Revision <br />14. Based on our April 30th conversation, it was agreed that this technical <br />revision was in fact a Succession of Operator and should be handled according <br />to the requirements of Rule 2.08.6. We followed up this telephone <br />conversation with a letter addressing a deficiency pertaining to this proposed <br />succession. <br />On May 1st we sent to you our review of your March 12th submittal pertaining <br />to the revised bonding information. This review raised a number of issues <br />that needed to be addressed. <br />To date, we have not received written replies to any of the above mentioned <br />letters. The Division would like to resolve each of these issues. To this <br />end, Kaiser Coal should submit the necessary information as soon as possible. <br />If there are reasons for not being able to respond in the near future, please <br />contact this office to discuss this matter. <br />ely ~~ <br />~'tc.._ <br />Peter V.
