MANAGEMENT
The DRMS' letter dated June 21, 2007 transmitted additional adequacy items regarding
the referenced permit revision. Following are Snowcap's responses to the DRMS'
comments and concerns:
Additional Adeouacy Items:
DRMS: On amended page 13-3i (2/07), the wording of the second sentence
of the first paragraph makes it unclear whether the embankment specification
described in the second paragraph would apply to the entirety of proposed
Assess Road 1A. Our interpretation is that the road would be constructed in
accordance with the specifications describes. In face, our understanding is
that the road would be constructed in conformance with all of the design and
construction requirements of 4.03.2(3), for "access roads not within the
disturbed area". These criteria are applicable for permanent access roads,
since such roads will remain in place following sediment pond removal.
Please delete the second sentence of Paragraph 1, and insert the
following language in order to eliminate ambiguity. The road will be
constructed in conformance with the design and construction
requirements of 4.03.2(3), which apply to "roads not within the
disturbed area". These criteria apply because the road is a permanenf
road that will remain in place following sediment pond removal. The
following embankment specification applies to the road.
SCC: Amended page 13-3i is enclosed.
