STATE OF COLORADO
DIVISION OF MINERALS AND GEOLOGY
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman S[., Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203 DIVISION O F
Phone: (303) 866-3567 MINERAL S
FAX: (303) 832-8106 $c
MEMO GEOLOGY
RECLAMATION
MINING•SAFETY

Date: November 22, 2UU2 Bill Owens
Governor
Greg E. Walther
From: Tom Kaldenbach Executive Director
Ronald W. Catiany
To: MR-181 file Acting Division Director
Foidel Creek Mine, Permit C-82-056
Re: Results of Adequacy Review
I reviewed the submittal for compliance with Section 4.04, Support Facilities. I also
verified that the submittal adequately updates updates the permit application to reflect the
proposed expansion of the low-quality coal stockpile and the addition of a building on
the Fish Creek return pipeline. My review found that the submittal is technically
adequate. No new land disturbance will result because the expansion area was previously
disturbed by the CYCC operation, and was subsequently transferred to TMCC. The new
building will be on land previously approved to be disturbed. I estimate total reclamation
costs to be $29,916 as shown in the attached estimate.
