At issue is whether
predictive leaching tests will show that metals or acid will be liberated from the rock in quantities
sufficient to adversely affect groundwater quality downgradient of the pit. The enclosed report
examines the results of metals leaching and acid-base accounting tests, evaluating them in terms of the
present and probable groundwater configuration in the vicinity of the West Pit.
Please let me know if the report needs improvement or clarification.
Attachment
cc: Btuce Humphries
Jim Stevens
Jim Pendleton
